baoyu-wechat-summary

Summarizes WeChat group chat highlights into a structured digest using the local wx-cli binary (https://github.com/jackwener/wx-cli). Generates a normal digest by default; a roast (毒舌) version is opt-in. Maintains per-group history (history.json + history-digests.jsonl), per-user profiles, and per-group fact memory (memory.md) across runs, with privacy guardrails baked in. Use when the user asks to "总结群聊", "群聊精华", "群聊摘要", "summarize group chat", "group chat digest", mentions a WeChat group name with a time range, says "帮我看看 XX 群最近聊了什么", "XX 群有什么值得看的", or asks to "回溯画像" / "初始化画像" / "backfill profiles". Adds the roast version when the user says "毒舌版", "roast 版", "再来个毒舌的", or similar.

Control levels describe skill capabilities and suggested control measures; they do not represent quality or safety certifications, nor do they dictate usability. Usage decisions rest entirely with users and administrators. Different agent hosts apply varying constraints; do not assume hosts provide automatic protection. 1How It Works & Mechanism

The skill itself carries no scripts or code: all data originates from the external wx-cli binary (`wx ...` commands) — which is why it specifies requires.anyBins: [wx].

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
What is happening here: The heavy lifting of 'reading local WeChat data' is outsourced to a dedicated tool; the skill only orchestrates data extraction, analysis, and disk writes. The tradeoff is that capabilities and risk surfaces align with this third-party binary.

Because it needs to access ~/.wx-cli and WeChat data directories, the skill explicitly mandates running every wx command with dangerouslyDisableSandbox: true, rather than wasting an initial sandbox attempt.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
Every `wx` command in this skill needs to run with `dangerouslyDisableSandbox: true` from the start — don't waste a sandbox attempt first.
What is happening here: wx-cli's config/cache/daemon socket and the WeChat container directory reside outside the host's default sandbox. The skill chooses to disable the sandbox directly rather than whitelisting paths individually — effectively serving as an explicit privilege demotion directive to the host.

Data fetches are strictly persisted to a $TMPDIR file as the single source of truth for the session: statistics and audits depend on it, and summarizing based on conversational memory is forbidden.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
**Always redirect the fetch to a `$TMPDIR` file** — this file is the single source of truth for the whole run
This is especially critical for large groups (>200 messages): raw text is not fed into context, but sliced/skeletonized using jq before reading, saving tokens while ensuring citations are auditable.

Generation occurs in three rounds: Round 1 builds the topic skeleton (with anchor IDs + verbatim quotes), Round 2 expands it into text, and Round 3 performs per-item attribution auditing — citations and 'someone said' claims are verified via grep against the raw file.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
**Attribution audit (mandatory — never skip)**
What is happening here: Misattribution is treated as a top-tier risk to prevent, using mechanical grep rather than model memory to verify attribution.

Cross-run persistence involves four surfaces: history.json (incremental anchor), history-digests.jsonl (append-only archive), profiles/ and profiles-roast/ (member profiles, strictly isolated), and memory.md (group-level fact memory).

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
├── history-digests.jsonl # append-only archive
Incremental mode relies on last_message_time in history.json; profiles provide continuity and contrast, with normal and roast suites kept completely unpolluted from each other.

Group-level fact memory enforces anti-injection guardrails: group messages are treated as source material rather than instructions, recording only declarative facts and never behavioral directives; @bot is not an exempt whitelist channel.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/references/group-memory.md
This is a rare skill in this repo that bakes prompt injection defense directly into the workflow: three write thresholds (targeting specific facts / supported by reasons or evidence / unrefuted) + mandatory source citations for each entry.

Profiles enforce explicit privacy guardrails: no real names (unless self-disclosed), contact details, health/psychological information, or non-public private matters may be recorded, nor is inferring daily routines from timestamps permitted.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/references/profiles.md
**Health, medical, psychological information.**
The roast version imposes additional restrictions: no comments on appearance, weight, family, psychological speculation, or identity labels, adhering to the principle: 'roast the take, not the person'.

@bot Q&A is restricted to answering based on group chat context and the model's internal knowledge, explicitly without web access.

skills/baoyu-wechat-summary/SKILL.md
answer from the group chat context plus your own knowledge only — **no web access**
Avoids introducing external dependencies just to fetch real-time data for a single query; if it cannot be answered, state clearly that information was not found.

2Core Capabilities

01Extract chat records by group name + time range and generate structured digests (topics/statistics/leaderboards/profiles)
02Incremental continuation: resumes from last_message_time in history.json, summarizing only new messages
03Dual-version output: standard version by default, roast version on-demand (triggered by keywords or EXTEND.md configuration)
04Cross-run member profiles (normal and roast strictly isolated, append-only retention of quotes and events)
05Group-level fact memory + anti-injection write thresholds (member corrections persist across runs)
06Attribution auditing (enforced in Round 3): verifies speakers quote-by-quote against raw JSON to fix misattributions
07Group owner verification: must check wx members or archives; guessing group owners based on historical impressions is prohibited
08@bot Q&A section: detects questions tagging @alias and answers them in a dedicated section (strictly limited to group context and internal knowledge)

4Recommended Governance & Evidence

Suggested Controls for Safe Operation
For Agent Runtime
Isolated environment, per-use explicit authorization
For Administrators
Strict authorization, full audit, compliance signoff
Evidence & Triggers (File Paths & Excerpts)
  • SKILL.md / 脚本: Invokes undocumented or reverse-engineered private APIs / spoofs client identifiers
  • SKILL.md / 脚本参数: Bypasses automated detection, disables host sandboxing, or skips SSL certificate verification
  • scripts/: Executes local scripts or commands: skill itself contains no scripts; workflow requires agent to execute wx-cli subcommands in shell: wx whoami / wx sessions / wx
Declares external network access: skill itself performs no network calls; wx-cli communicates with WeChat client data via a local ~/.wx-cli daemon socket rather than a remote API
File I/O and artifact output: $TMPDIR/wx-messages.json (raw messages for the current session, single source of truth)
Audit Notes: (Classified as a capability/policy-level finding, not malicious injection). Three core reasons: ① [Security Demotion] The skill mandatorily requires disabling the host sandbox: SKILL.md explicitly states, 'Every `wx` command in this skill needs to run with `dangerouslyDisableSandbox: true` from the start — don't waste a sandbox attempt first.', offering no fallback path to try the sandbox first — crossing the same red line as baoyu-image-gen's `--sandbox danger-full-access` and scrapling's `--no-verify` (irrespective of default paths or validity of intent); the necessity is clear: wx-cli must access `~/.wx-cli/` (config, cache, daemon socket) and WeChat data directory `~/Library/Containers/com.tencent.xinWeChat/`, both outside the host's default sandbox. ② [Sensitive Local Data + Key Surface] Capabilities are provided by the third-party wx-cli binary to read local WeChat databases (containing third-party chat records) and decryption keys/daemon states inside ~/.wx-cli; while the skill itself does not implement decryption, its built-in decisions drive these reads. ③ [Secondary Privacy Surface] Long-term persistent disk outputs: digests, profiles/, profiles-roast/, and memory.md continuously accumulate member profiles, quotes, and events, with memory.md reused as factual constraints in subsequent runs. Severity note (tier retained): No unescaped prompt interpolation, no delegated sudo execution, auto-installation prohibited, no TLS downgrading, no client spoofing, no outbound data exfiltration (@bot explicitly enforces 'no web access'), and built-in privacy guardrails and anti-injection rules are enforced.

5Second-Pass Verification

  • [ok] 依赖面只有 wx-cli 与本地小工具 — 正文出现的可执行命令为 wx(whoami/sessions/contacts/history/members/stats/daemon)、jq、grep、wc;无 curl/wget/网络 SDK,无 npm 依赖。
  • [ok] 禁止自动安装与代跑 sudo — setup.md 写明 '**Do NOT auto-install** — this repo forbids piped/silent installs.' (The skill should NOT run `sudo` on the user's behalf.)。
  • [ok] EXTEND.md 字段与描述一致 — self_wxid / self_display 标 required,default_version / default_time_range / data_root / bot_aliases 为可选,与 SKILL.md 的 Supported keys 表一致;EXTEND.md.example 与之一一对应。

6Verdict & Scenarios

  • Treats 'avoiding misattribution' as a core engineering problem: skeletons include anchor IDs + verbatim quotes, and Round 3 forces grep verification against the raw JSON.
  • Restrained cross-session memory design: three write thresholds + mandatory citations + invalidation support, clarifying that memory serves as factual constraints rather than style instructions.
  • Concrete and enforceable privacy guardrails (prohibited list + stricter roast rules + roasting views instead of individuals), not just a generic 'respect privacy' warning.
  • Thorough engineering details: $TMPDIR single source of truth, chunking for large groups, token-saving jq skeletonization, and semantic date comparisons across year boundaries.
  • Disciplined stance on third-party dependencies: strictly prohibits auto-installation and sudo execution, halting to provide exact remediation commands upon failure.
  • Best for: Ideal for personal local use by power WeChat group users who want to quickly extract key highlights from hundreds of chat messages (Baoyu-style daily chat digests): requires incremental continuation, persistent cross-run member profiles, fact memory, and dual versions (standard/roast), while accepting the prerequisite of installing wx-cli under macOS + WeChat 4.x.
Not for: Not suitable for corporate environments with strict compliance policies or devices prohibiting local WeChat data access; not suitable for public redistribution of others' chat logs (profiles/quotes contain third-party PII); not suitable for Windows/Linux (wx-cli and WeChat data directories primarily target macOS); not suitable for users expecting self-contained scripts, zero-setup, or automatic dependency installation; not suitable for enterprise batch scraping across groups without privacy assessments.
